Lithgow & Hartley Vale Highlights Tour
- Duration: 7 Hours (approx.)
- Location: Bathurst, NSW
- Product code: PQ80FU
This road based tour heads to the old industrial town of Lithgow but not along the highway as you’d expect.
We take back roads exploring the rich agricultural history of the area, stopping in at the small quaint towns on the back roads to see how they are re-inventing themselves for tourism.
Morning tea is within the town or sometimes high on a lookout where the views can be spectacular.
We explore the old steel mill ruins and all that this old town with its history has to offer. Morning tea is included and we generally stop at on of the great little coffee shops or bakeries on the Lithgow main street for lunch.
To head home, we cross the Great Western Highway and travel to Bathurst on some more beautiful country roads, stopping for photos along the
way. After this tour, you may never want to travel the highway again.
For the more adventurous traveller, our sister business, Detour Adventures can provide a 4WD day out in the extensive bush that surrounds Lithgow
boasts some of the best 4WDing in NSW. (see our 4WD off road adventures category)
